· Camp-Wide Program Supervisor
Counsellors live with and take
care of campers. They participate in activities with campers,
go on a canoe trip and everything else in between! Counsellors
help campers get along and support them to work on their individual goals and
challenges throughout the sessions. This is an extremely rewarding job where
you get to form close relationships and experience true growth! Each cabin
has three counselors and 5-7 campers. Counsellors
live in their own rooms within the cabin.
Counsellor Supervisors oversee
the daily goings on of the cabin. They support the counsellors
to ensure camper and staff needs are being met as well as work through camper
issues. Each counsellor supervisor works with two
cabins (approximately 12 campers and 6 staff). They have a lot of
experience with kids and assist with problem solving and behaviour
management. They also maintain contact with camper’s families, when
necessary.
Camp-Wide Support counsellors are
“rovers” by trade. They spend time with different cabins,
individual campers and various program areas as needed. Support counsellors spend time with everyone all over camp. They
cover days off, hours off, may go on a canoe trip and spend time with campers
who may need a little extra support or staff time. Support counsellors
are super adaptable and ready to be where they need to any time!
Waterfront Program Leaders get to spend the days at the
beautiful lake! They run programs for cabin groups, creating safe and fun
activities for campers of all ages and swimming abilities, taking into account
their various needs and interests. Must have CURRENT NLS and previous lifeguarding
experience.
The Waterfront Supervisor leads programs as well, and takes on
extra waterfront responsibilities such as supervising waterfront staff, managing
all lifeguarding procedures and schedules, and keeping track of the waterfront
budget.
Responsible for designing, implementing and facilitating
process-oriented arts programs for cabin groups. The focus is on fun
instead of painting the perfect picture or singing in key. There are two
positions available in this program area: one for art and one for music.
